Create a free temporary email address on FreeTemp in a few seconds: no sign-up, no password. Step-by-step guide with what to do next.
2 min read
You want an email address you can hand to a website without exposing your real inbox. On FreeTemp you do not create an account: the address is made for you the moment the homepage opens. This guide shows exactly what you will see and what to do next.
What you need
- A phone or computer with a browser.
- About one minute.
That is all. There is no password and no form to fill in.
Steps
- Open the FreeTemp homepage. A random address appears in the inbox box at the top.
- If a quick "are you a bot?" check appears, complete it. The address is created right after.
- Read the address in full, including the part after the @ sign. It is the address you will give to websites.
- Press the copy button next to it. Copying the address correctly is the step people most often get wrong, so read that guide if you are unsure.
- Leave this tab open. Your inbox is live in this page, and messages appear here as they arrive.

Common problems
- No address appears. Wait a moment and complete the bot check if it is shown. If you created several addresses in a short time, wait a few minutes: new addresses are limited per connection.
- You do not like the address. Request a new one. Anything sent to the old address will not follow you to the new one.
What to do next
Use the address in a form: sign up for a website with a temporary email, then receive the message in your inbox.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to register to get a temporary address?
No. An address is created as soon as the FreeTemp homepage loads.
Can I choose my own address?
The address is generated for you at random. If you do not like it, you can request a new one.
