What is a temporary email address?

A temporary email address (also called a disposable, throwaway, fake or 10 minute mail address) is a mailbox you use for a short time instead of your real one. Temp mail keeps your main inbox free of spam and newsletters when you sign up for a trial, download a file or test an app. FreeTemp gives you a temporary email in one click: no account, no password, and every message is deleted when the mailbox ends.

    • Cut the spam

Use a disposable email for one-off sign-ups so promotional mail never reaches your real inbox.

    • Codes in seconds

One-time codes and confirmation links show up in a live inbox, with no page refresh.

    • Free, no account

There is nothing to register. Burn the mailbox when you are done and its messages are deleted.

    • Like 10 minute mail, with more time

Your temp mailbox lasts 20 minutes by default. Add 10 minutes whenever you need, up to 60, or burn it earlier.

    • Disposable email for any site

Use the address for sign-ups, free trials, downloads and app tests. It only receives email, so you cannot send from it.

    • Private by design

No registration and no personal details. Messages are deleted when the mailbox ends, and external images in emails are blocked by default.

    Temp mail FAQ

How long does the temporary email last?

Each mailbox lasts 20 minutes by default. Add 10 more minutes at any time with the +10 min button, or burn it right away.

Is it really free, and do I need to sign up?

Yes, it is free. There is no registration, password or personal information to enter.

Can I get a temporary Gmail address?

No. Addresses end with one of FreeTemp's own domains, not Gmail or another provider's domain.

Can I send emails from this address?

No. A temporary mailbox only receives emails.

What happens to my messages after the mailbox expires?

Messages are kept only while the mailbox is active and are deleted when it expires or when you burn it. We use IP addresses only temporarily to limit abuse. Do not use a temporary address for important accounts.

Why do some websites reject my temporary email?

Some services block known disposable email domains. Try a new address; if the site still refuses it, it does not accept disposable email.

    What is 10 minute mail?

10 minute mail is a type of temp mail whose mailbox disappears after a short time. FreeTemp works the same way, but gives you 20 minutes by default and lets you extend it up to 60.

Is temp mail safe to use?

It is safe for low-risk sign-ups: it keeps spam away from your real inbox and needs no personal details. Do not use it for banking, important accounts or anything you may need to recover later, because the mailbox disappears.

What can I use a disposable email address for?

Free trials, one-time downloads, forum or newsletter sign-ups and testing your own app. Do not use it for accounts you want to keep.

What is the difference between temp mail and a normal email?

A normal email lasts for years and can send and receive. Temp mail is a throwaway mailbox that only receives messages and disappears when its time is up.
